The City of London Business College, situated at Seven Sisters, North London, was established in 1990 to combat the lack of opportunities suffered by members of the black ethnic minorities in that part of the city and their consequent underachievement.

Over the years, the college has remained focused and produced many achievers. Numerous merits and distinctions have been gained through the college's Information Technology and Business Management examinations, not to mention the internationally acclaimed gold medals that students have won in such subject disciplines like arithmetic and communication skills in 2001 and 2002 foundation diploma examinations with the Institute for the Management of Information Systems.

Graduates from this college have generally either moved on to various higher educational institutions of learning, or entered work placement schemes through NVQ and GNVQ health and social care professional courses. The college has also produced highly skilled hair design, cosmetology and dressmaking professionals.

At the college certificate and presentation ceremony, marking the 13th Anniversay, in June 2003, it became evident that students are offered the best opportunities for them to develop their academic and professional skills by virtue of the certificates and special awards they received.

Present to grace the occasion was His Excellency Isaac Osei, Ghana's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, who stressed the increasing demand for well qualified professionals. Her worshipful the Mayor of Haringey, London, in the United Kingdom attended the occasion.

The principal of the College, the managment and the teaching staff, reflect with pride their commitment in the past in providing the students with the requisite training that equips them to compete comfortably in the market place, enabling them to command decent salaries and improve their lives.

Today, City of London Business College stands out as one of the leading ethnic minority-managed professional institutions in the United Kingdom and surely a dream institution for people determined to foster their growth and development through learning.
