The college has been awarded many accolades to
date, including 'Highly Commended' in the UK National
Beacon Awards and 'Investor in People'. In a recent
inspection by UK Government Inspectors, some of
the key strengths were identified as:

attainment by most adult students,
• Good
vocational skills in construction, professional
studies and rural crafts,
• Good
teaching in construction, IT courses for adults,
humanities and foundation courses,
• Effective
additional support in literacy and numeracy, and
• Focus
of staff development on improving teaching and
learning.
Students at HCT identified the following as

student support.

student who decided to join HCT is Wendy Luk from
Hong Kong. Wendy says, "The College has very
good facilities such as a library, computers for
everyone, a canteen, restaurant, nursery and a
friendly campus environment. I used the computers
at college to complete my final 3,500-word project.
