The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) is leading business school, teaching a balance of management and practical training within a culture of training and entrepreneurialism. The College offers smaller class sizes than most universities, so students receive a more personal learning experience. Students also have the opportunity to study alongside students from more than 40 different countries, making cross-cultural experience a part of everyday learning.
The College’s various programs include the areas of Business, Business Management, Event Management, Hospitality Management, International Tourism, Property Services Management, Retail Services Management and Sport Management. Students also have the option of conferring their undergraduate or graduate study though partner Macquarie University. Undergraduate students are also given the option to complete a double degree.
At ICMS we believe that the best learning combines practical ‘real world’ work with a strong academic foundation. All of our undergraduate and associate degrees include nine months of paid Industry Training (IT). Our Career Services department works with you through your first two terms to find an IT placement that will form the foundation of your practical business skills and your first CV.
Most students choose to take full-time paid IT, but there are flexible options such as taking your IT part time, as relevant volunteer work, or a combination of all three. ICMS graduates regularly secure competitive positions within their industry and remark that IT provided a critical edge over other candidates. Employers comment that ICMS students and graduates arrive work- ready and display a high level of professionalism.
We also offer a Business Preparation Program (BPP), geared to improve academic and English language skills prior to university entrance. Students may also opt to pursue certificates and diplomas in Hospitality, Tourism and Events. After completing one of the above programs many students go on to complete an associate or bachelor degree. In addition, ICMS welcomes study abroad students for one or two terms each year, further enhancing the rich academic climate of the College.
Students at ICMS have many accommodation choices, from living on campus in the College dormitory to finding housing alone off campus or in a share-house with classmates. Students living on campus enjoy a fantastic lifestyle, including meals, 24 hour computer lab access, free wireless and close proximity to classes and world-famous Manly beach.
