The University of Surrey is situated on the edge of Guildford, an attractive county town in the heart of the countryside. Guildford lies conveniently between the two major London airports of Heathrow and Gatwick, and is only 35 minutes by train from London.

New! Learn English online - any time, any place

This exciting new online course for students of Management lasts 10 weeks. It enables students to develop skills of listening, reading and writing through the key study areas of Human Resource Management, Marketing, Corporate Strategy and Finance. Students can access the material from anywhere in the world. Interactive discussion with the tutor is a central feature of the course. The many years of experience in preparing students for University degree study has enabled the Language Centre at the University of Surrey to develop this course.

English courses on campus

For students who prefer to study English in the UK, courses on the Surrey campus are available all year round. The course may last for 10 weeks (between October and June) or 4 weeks (in July and August). In September, just before students begin their degree study, there is a popular Fast Track course.

IELTS

Leading UK universities usually require level 6 or above in IELTS for admission to a degree course. Surrey is a testing centre for IELTS: tests and preparation courses are offered throughout the year.
