Why did you choose Swansea University? I had a natural flair for research right from my undergrad days. I made up my mind to accept the Commonwealth Scholarship sponsored by the British Council. Swansea University has a great reputation. This is proven by the succession of students from my home town, Chennai, India. My supervisor in India has finished his research (Ph. D) from Swansea University. He recommended me for the kind of name it holds in academic research and is now recommending a lot many more. Why did you choose Swansea University? Swansea University enjoys a good reputation for its long history and high level of teaching. At the same time, the university is experiencing an upward trend in recent years, which offers its students a kind of active circumstances to study.
What do you think of Swansea University’s careers service support? It is helpful for students to get valuable information about job vacancies and skills when applying jobs.
I have registered on line in the job-shop and have tried to find some job vacancies there. I always receive some e-mails about career service support, such as timetable for special meetings or useful information.

What do you think about the cost of living?
The cost of living in Swansea is cheaper than that in London.
What do you think about English language support? I have benefited a lot from the free English class which is for all international students studying in Swansea University. I think I’ve got lots of information on skills about grammar, writing, pronunciation and reading, which is quite helpful to my study and to my daily communication as well.
